Business Partner VIP Services LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”) operates Business RMS 4.0 and the website BusinessReputation.org (the “Site” and “Services”).
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its implementing regulations (including the Privacy Rule, Security Rule, Breach Notification Rule, and Enforcement Rule) apply to “covered entities” (healthcare providers, health plans, healthcare clearinghouses) and their “business associates” that create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information (PHI) on behalf of covered entities.
Our Services are a general customer feedback and employee accountability platform designed for service-based businesses (restaurants, HVAC, plumbing, salons, handymen, and similar). We do not:
Act as a covered entity under HIPAA. Act as a business associate under HIPAA. Collect, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA (individually identifiable health information related to an individual’s past, present, or future physical or mental health, provision of healthcare, or payment for healthcare). Provide services specifically designed to handle PHI or support HIPAA-covered activities.
Because we do not handle PHI and are not a covered entity or business associate, HIPAA regulations do not apply to our Services or data processing activities.
If you are a healthcare provider, health plan, or other covered entity and believe you may need a HIPAA business associate agreement (BAA) or HIPAA-compliant processing, please note that we do not currently offer BAAs or HIPAA-compliant services. We recommend consulting with your legal or compliance team to determine whether our Services are appropriate for your use case.
Our general data protection practices are described in our Privacy Policy, which applies to all users of the Services.
